Podkin, is that a new type of Otherkin? lol - jk. On a serious note, I can respect an intellectual disagreement. However, in Amber's defense, it seems silly to just toss away someone's statements just because they are younger. This is doubly silly when you ignore them because they're younger despite them walking their path longer and being well learned in it for a longer period of time than your older co-host. Amber has been walking and well learned in her path for as long as I've known her, which is going on 4 years now (compared with the 2 years mentioned by your co-host). I get the impression from Episode 15 that age is considered a more significant indicator of how much you should consider one a reliable source of knowledge and information than experience in walking that path. I think one significant point that Amber brought up in PCP Episode 61 (to which MMPP Episode 15 is a rebuttal) is that the Kemetic faith was not static thus you can have 2 people under the same religion but having significantly different beliefs and both people being "correct." Heck, not even modern religions are static - they are dynamic. The Christianity of the year 200 is vastly different from the Christianity of the year 2000. You guys did attempt to cope with this issue by simply going with older is better. I can't say that's right or wrong since I'm not sufficiently familiar with that religion to make such a judgment with confidence. Looking at it from an outside perspective, it seems to ignore the dynamic nature of all religion. I can understand why a few of my co-hosts were irked by the older is better mentality, especially those subtly expressed on our co-op episode by means of shutting down the "Pagan Parenting" topic. As you may remember, this topic was quickly shut down by MMPP because none of us were parents. It may have worked out for the best anyway, as we eventually did talk about Pagan Parenting from the perspective of someone raised in a Pagan household as a component of a 3-part series on PCP. I find the comment in the introduction of this show that the crew of PCP is more eager to express our disagreements because we are younger and thus don't have the experience to accommodate disagreement woefully ironic. PCP is a bunch of people with vastly different beliefs, somehow getting along and putting together a cohesive podcast. It's hard to think of all the co-hosts we've ever had (including MMPP) and name two people would have had similar beliefs. The irony continues with the "we should not tear each other down" mentality being conveyed, while in the same breath conveying the idea "well they're just young therefore ignorant." PCP was started because a group of us had the experience of dealing with the excessive political correctness of Pagan groups and Paganism as a community. PCP was to be a counter-balance to that excessive political correctness by means of blunt honesty (not to be confused with intended attack, which we have done on relatively rare occasion). However, over time, we have found ourselves being less outrageous given contemporary standards of the Pagan community. Maybe we've mellowed out, or maybe the Pagan community is moving away from excessive political correctness. The stuff I say in the introductory monologue (e.g. "We're not here to bash; but, we're not here to be politically correct either") to PCP is not there just for filler, those are statements we ALL wholeheartedly believe in on PCP. That's just my two cents.

Dave, I am glad that I had the chance to talk to you on Skype after you posted this comment and we bouth made the point that this was not going to become a podcast war. I know this is the last thing eather one of us want. I think we bouth came the idea that we realy needed to stick to what we was going to talk about "Pagan Parenting". LOL!! thes are reasons why I like to stick to topics :-). I know we (you and I) talked about Pagan parenting then it never came up when we recorded. I guess that was an over site on bouth our parts. But I am glad that was all sorted out between the two of us. Ron

Great show! It was interesting to hear a different side to a path I admittedly know very little about. Each person has their own path, which will vary from others. I learned a lot from listening to this podcast, and enjoyed it tremendously.
